SWAGÊÓƵ

Last week, SWAGÊÓƵ welcomed its students, staff and community back to campus for the Spring 2025 semester with a week that was filled with many different events that had something for everyone.

Welcome Week is a tradition at SWAGÊÓƵ that takes place at the beginning of each semester. The week aims to immerse new students in college life, while also presenting many fun activities for returning students as well.

The week kicked off on Jan. 10 with dinner and a movie for new students. The festivities continued on Jan. 11 as Holmes hosted a welcome dinner that gave students a chance to relax and catch up with their friends. Later in the evening, the Office of Health Promotion hosted a housewarming party with games, crafts, refreshments and music. 

An involvement fair was held on Jan. 12 for students that were wanting to get more involved on campus this semester. Many student organizations had booths to welcome students both new and returning. SWAGÊÓƵ strives to make its students feel connected to each other and involved in the community.

To finish the week, SWAGÊÓƵ hosted its fourth annual students vs staff basketball game as part of the Winter Recfest. The event had games, fun prizes and gift card giveaways, which included a $250 gift card to Scheels.
