Prepare for Registration

Step 1: Check Degree Works

to view your degree progress.

Step 2: Prepare Your Academic Plan and Meet with Your Advisor

As you prepare to meet with your advisor and review your academic plan, make sure you review Degree Planner and outline a possible schedule of coursework to complete your degree. You can look up classes in Ursa and begin to plan your class schedule.

Be sure to look at course options for Summer 2025. Enrolling in Summer courses can be a great way to get ahead.

Step 3: Clear Registration Holds

Check for holds on your account

In Ursa, select View Student Information to find out whether any holds on your account prevent you from registering.

Do you have holds?  If there are any holds listed in Ursa, you will have to work directly with the department that placed the hold to have it removed. View list of common holds for information on who to contact.

Step 4: Register

Registration Instructions

  1. Complete Action Item - Financial Statement Responsibility
  2. Proceed to the Student Tab and select the Register, Add or Drop/Withdraw Classes link under “Register for Classes.”
  3. Choose the appropriate term and enter your PIN when prompted.
  4. Enter the CRN in the Add Classes Worksheet or search for the course using the Class Search button.
  5. When finished, click Accept/Submit.
